From consultation through design to the finished product, Teknequip specialises in the precision machining of commercial grade materials and various types of exotic materials that are used in the marine and aerospace industries.

History

Teknequip was founded in 1961 as a one man operation. Machining components for the medical industry. Over the years Teknequip began to grow with further machines and skilled workforce, they branched into other industries such as Brewery Dispense, Marine and Aerospace.

In 1973 Teknequip moved in to a purpose built factory at their current location in Harlow. This Factory was again completely rebuilt in 2001 thus allowing further increase of machines.

In 1993 Teknequip became a member of the Samuel Hodge Group which has allowed further investment in equipment and the staff.

On 1 October 2011 the Teknequip Polish facility (TEKNEQUIP Kalisz sp. z o.o.) was founded.
TEKNEQUIP Kalisz sp.z o.o. has two production departments and currently employs 40 people.
The main objective of the aviation department is to produce aircraft parts for assembly for Hamilton Sundstrand aircraft engines in Kalisz and other aviation companies. The department employs 6 CNC machine operators.
The fabrication department engineers oily water separator welded assemblies for marine applications, abrasive blasting machine shells and abrasive blasting cabinets. The department has 6 steel structure installation engineers and welders.
Proper production started in March 2012 and on 2 January 2013 the company achieved ISO 9001 and AS9100 certification. Now that full production is underway the two departments also have extra development projects.
